Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards 2009 - Dent Ltd.
Dent Ltd of Penrith in Cumbria, was awarded Pig Producer of the Year at the Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards held on 14 May.
Entrants in this category, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim, effectively demonstrated the highest standards of production when part of a retail chain.
Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards 2009 - Fir Tree Farm
Peter Mortimer and his Metfield Herd of Fir Tree Farm, Harleston in Norfolk, was presented with two awards at the Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards held on 14 May. Peter Mortimer’s Pork Belly won Highly Commended in the Cut Above Meat Quality category.
Peter also received Highly Commend in the Pig Producer of the Year category. Entrants in this category, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim, effectively demonstrated the highest standards of production when part of a retail chain.
After foot and mouth, Mark and Jane Bradley in County Durham restocked with 70 pure Welsh sows to set up a complete farrow to finish system they could manage themselves.
