Reducing lung lesions with Ingelvac MycoFLEX®
Extent of lung lesions was significantly lower with Ingelvac MycoFLEX® compared to non-vaccinated challenged control pigs.20,21,23,26
In a challenge study, using piglets born to gilts with a serological profile typical of usual field exposure to M hyo infection
(M hyo ELISA S/P ratio ranging from 0.4-1.0), the extent of lung lesions was significantly lower in the M hyo challenged pigs vaccinated
with Ingelvac MycoFLEX® at 3 weeks of age, compared to non vaccinated controls.26
Similar findings were also reported in a large scale field trial where the mean lung lesion scores at slaughter were significantly reduced compared with non-vaccinated sentinel pigs.23
In this trial, pigs were vaccinated with Ingelvac MycoFLEX® at 5 weeks of age, and lung lesions were assessed at normal slaughter age.
