Reducing lung lesions with Ingelvac MycoFLEX^®

Extent of lung lesions was significantly lower with Ingelvac MycoFLEX^® compared to non-vaccinated challenged control pigs.^20,21,23,26

In a challenge study, using piglets born to gilts with a serological profile typical of usual field exposure to M hyo infection
(M hyo ELISA S/P ratio ranging from 0.4-1.0), the extent of lung lesions was significantly lower in the M hyo challenged pigs vaccinated with Ingelvac MycoFLEX^® at 3 weeks of age, compared to non vaccinated controls.²⁶

Similar findings were also reported in a large scale field trial where the mean lung lesion scores at slaughter were significantly reduced compared with non-vaccinated sentinel pigs.²³

In this trial, pigs were vaccinated with Ingelvac MycoFLEX^® at 5 weeks of age, and lung lesions were assessed at normal slaughter age.
